In the unfortunate circumstance where a product you have ordered is out of stock we will contact you within 48 hours with a solution. If no reply is received we will automatically refund via original payment method.

All JAMES SMITH products are handcrafted in Indonesia and we take the upmost care to ensure all items are in perfect condition. Made from genuine leather and natural materials occasionally you may notice a flaw or some slight imperfections. We do not count minor markings or inconsistency in colour as a fault or flaw. If believe your item is faulty please email alina@whoisjamessmith.com with your order number and photos to identify the issue. Please note, your window of exchange for faulty items is within 3 months of purchase date.

Items can differ slightly from the images presented on the website due to varying fabric cuts and seasonality of the materials. Please note that the images used on the website are taken to best showcase the items as accurately as possible. The colours may differ slightly between computer monitors.

Regarding products that are out of stock you can email us and someone from our Customer Service team will get back to you with a rough estimation on when we will restock.

shipping & handling

Orders are processed within 48 hours of being received. This excludes weekends and holidays. A confirmation email with tracking will be sent once the order has been shipped. Please remember to check your junk folder just in case it has been filtered there.




All orders are sent via eParcel Australia Post unless stated otherwise.

Delivery for domestic shipping is estimated between 7-10 working days from the day it is posted. We cannot provide a time guarantee or estimate on international deliveries, but we do provide you with a tracking number so you can track the status of your order. JAMES SMITH is not responsible for delays caused by adverse weather conditions, the customs clearance process, or other third party delays.
Items shipped internationally may be subject to import duties & taxes depending on the destination. JAMES SMITH is NOT responsible payment of these duties. Individuals that refuse to pay for additional charges incurred will be reimbursed for the item with the shipping costs & any additional charges incurred subtracted.

online return policy

Items purchased online must be returned or exchanged within 10 days of receiving your order. The items must be returned unworn and have their original tags and packaging.

Exchanges are fulfilled based on stock availability.

All sales are final on Clearance & Sample Sale items. 

We do not offer refunds unless an item is deemed faulty or not fit for purpose. If you change your mind on a product we are more than happy to issue a store credit.

Please contact alina@whoisjamessmith.com to obtain a return authorisation form. Your return will be processed within 7 days of being received.
The cost of returning items for the purpose of an exchange is the responsibility of the customer. We do not reimburse for the cost of shipping unless the item is faulty. We are not liable for your item while it is in transit back to us, so we recommend that you use an insured-registered post and hold onto the tracking number.
